After a devastating Eastern Conference finals loss to Columbus Crew, FC Cincinnati is looking ahead to the 2024 season.
Major League Soccer released the team's 34-match schedule for the 2024 regular season on Wednesday, featuring a new date for the MLS All-Star Game in Columbus, Ohio, now to be held July 24.
The 2024 season will also see the earliest kickoff in league history when, on Feb. 21, eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi and reigning Leagues Cup champion Inter Miami CF host Real Salt Lake in a standalone match.
Other features include the return of the World Cup-style Leagues Cup with all Liga MX and MLS teams July 26. The tournament final will fall on Aug. 25.
Noteworthy matches for FC Cincinnati include face-offs with Lionel Messi and Inter Miami CF on Aug. 24 at DRV PNK Stadium. Cincinnati will also play Miami on July 6 at TQL Stadium, but Messi will likely participate in the Copa America 2024 tournament with Argentina at that time.
Cincinnati's highly anticipated rematch against Columbus Crew is scheduled for May 11 in Columbus.
