As The Game Awards 2025 approaches on December 10, the complete list of nominees has been revealed, spanning diverse categories such as Game of the Year and Best Esports Game.

The Game Awards has announced its nominees for Game of the Year 2025, and while there were some expected picks, it was a major year for indie games. Titles like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Hades 2, and Hollow Knight: Silksong are all in the running for the top prize.

They are joined by Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Donkey Kong Bananza, and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. These six GOTY nominees align with predictions for this year's frontrunners. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was the most-recognized game, earning 12 nominations across 10 categories. Death Stranding 2 and Ghost of Yōtei each received seven nominations.

Now that the nominees are revealed, the next round of voting begins. The Game Awards voting jury will select winners for categories like Best RPG, Best Narrative, and many more. Fans can also cast their votes for Game of the Year through Dec. 10.

The nominations will be decided through a combination of fan votes (10%) and a carefully selected jury (90%). With over 30 categories celebrating the gaming industry's achievements, enthusiasts are eager to see which titles and individuals will emerge victorious.

What time does The Game Awards 2025 starts today?

Hosted by Geoff Keighley, The Game Awards have always been a major talking point among gamers and 2025 is no exception.

The Game Awards are slated to kick off on Thursday, December 11 at 7:30 p.m. ET, with the main show set to begin at 8 p.m. ET. The 30 minute lead up will feature a pre-show of announcements, some award presentations and trailers for upcoming games, so you definitely don't want to miss any moment of the show!
