MLS reverses Liga MX dominance in Leagues Cup 2023.

Liga MX dominated the 2023 League Cup in the group stage, with 16 wins and 14 losses against MLS teams. However, teams from the United States and Canada have returned to the knockout stage of CONCACAF tournaments.

Only Querétaro was able to win their commitment, defeating the New England Revolution in a series of penalties.
The quarterfinals consisted of two matches between clubs from Liga MX and MLS, with each winning the competition. Querétaro lost 2–1 to Philadelphia Union, while Monterrey, the only Mexican player, lost 2–3 to LAFC.
In the absence of the semi-finals and final of the Leagues Cup 2023, a total of 45 games have been played between teams from Liga MX and MLS, with a favorable score of 23–22 for teams from the United States and Canada.
Match No. 46 between Liga MX and MLS in the semi-finals will be the Monterrey match against Nashville, the only surviving match in Mexico, to be played next Tuesday, August 15.
