Celtic Win 2023 Scottish Cup To Complete Domestic Treble

Scottish Cup Final 2023: Ange Postecoglou's side, Celtic beats Inverness CT 3-1 to win Scottish Cup to claim treble, History.

Ange Postecoglou's side Celtic proved too strong for second-tier Inverness Caledonian Thistle as they claimed the 2023 Scottish Cup and a fifth domestic treble in seven seasons.

Kyogo Furuhashi, Liel Abada, and Jota's goals helped Postecoglou win his sixth trophy in two seasons at Celtic, where he has been linked with the vacant managerial role at Tottenham.

The eighth treble won by Celtic in club history—five of which have occurred in the previous seven years—includes the Scottish Premiership, League Cup, and Scottish Cup.

Prior to the game, Postecoglou emphasised that his goal was to cap off a good season.

In contrast, the Australian team found it difficult to accelerate against lower-tier Inverness.

The Hoops didn't score their first goal of the game until seven minutes before halftime, when Furuhashi headed in Matt O'Riley's cross for his 34th goal of the year.

Celtic looked home and dry 25 minutes from time when captain Callum McGregor led a counter-attack to square for Abada to tap home from close range.
