There are many reasons why the Chicago Bears are considering abandoning Soldier Field and moving to a new stadium in Arlington Heights.


With a Seating capacity of 61,500 fans, the domed-shaped New Soldier Field is now the smallest stadium in the NFL. It is ludicrous that one of the biggest metropolitan regions in the nation has the smallest NFL stadium.

Memorial Stadium at the University of Illinois has a seating capacity of 60,670. The stadium at Notre Dame in South Bend contains 77,622 seats.


In addition, Camp Randall Stadium at the University of Wisconsin has a Seating capacity of 80,321, making it the fourth-largest NFL stadium in the nation.

MetLife Stadium opened in 2010 and is located five miles west of New York City in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It’s the home of the New York Giants and New York Jets.

MetLife Stadium cost $1.6 billion to build. At the time of its completion, it was the most expensive stadium ever built in the United States.

Now, SoFi Stadium is the Most Expensive stadium in Ranking, and has the largest expandable capacity of any NFL stadium; it can fit up to 100,240 spectators, just a few hundred more than AT&T Stadium (100,000).
