BUT Because of the track configuration at Saratoga, the 2024 Belmont will be 1¼ miles. It was run at a shorter distance, 1⅛ miles, in 2020 because the coronavirus pandemic scrambled the racing calendar.

The four-day Festival at Saratoga Race Course will include 23 stakes races in total with purses totaling $9.7 million totals.

The prize money will increase from $1.5 million to $2 million and the race will be part of a special four-day run at Saratoga a month before the usual summer meet there begins July 11.
