2026 Super Bowl: NFL expected to award Super Bowl LX to Levi's Stadium, home of the 49ers.
Next week, the NFL will host its annual Spring League Meeting, and while there won't be a vote on the anticipated sale of the Washington Commanders, it's expected that team owners will select the site of the Super Bowl in 2026.
According to Sports Business Journal, NFL owners are anticipated to choose Levi's Stadium as the host site for the 2026 Super Bowl (Super Bowl LX) next week.
San Francisco 49ers play their home games at Levi's Stadium, of course.
Numerous concerts, WrestleMania 31, soccer games, and even an NHL hockey game have been held there since it opened in July of 2014.
The Levi's Stadium will also serve as one of the locations for 2026 FIFA World Cup games.
The stadium has a seating capacity of 68,500 but can expand to approximately 75,000.
The NFL requires Super Bowl hosts to have at least 70,000 seats.
When was the Last time Levi's Stadium hosted the Super Bowl.?
The last and only Super Bowl Levi's Stadium hosted was Super Bowl 50, where Von Miller and the Denver Broncos defeated Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers, 24-10.
The Super Bowl will likely be called by Jim Nantz and Tony Romo when it returns to CBS in 2019. Caesars Sportsbook has the Kansas City Chiefs (+600) as the AFC's favourite team, while the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles are tied for the NFC's favourite team (+750).
