Japan defeats China to defend 2023 Women's Softball Asia Cup title, Past Winners List.

Japan, the defending winners of the Women's Softball Asia Cup, defeated China 6-0 in the 2023 women's Softball championship game on Saturday in Incheon, South Korea.

All matches were postponed on Wednesday and the semifinals and placement matches were skipped due to poor weather and pitch conditions. The top two teams from the round robin compete for bronze while the third and fourth-placed teams proceed to the final.

China and Chinese Taipei, both 6-1, defeated each other 11-1 on Friday to go to the championship match against Japan, who was ranked first and had a spotless record.

Ayane Nakagawa's solo home run in the bottom of the first inning gave Japan an early lead. Japan only lost one point during their round robin matches.

The defending champions doubled the lead in the second inning and killed any suspense with a four-point sixth inning.

In the bronze medal match, Chinese Taipei defeated the Philippines 10-5.
