Chevron Championship 2026 prize money payouts at LPGA major

Chevron Championship prize money payouts for each golfer at first LPGA major of 2026

The LPGA significantly increased the prize money for the 2026 Chevron Championship, raising the total purse to $9 million — a $1 million increase from 2025 and a massive jump of $5.9 million since Chevron began sponsoring the event in 2022.

Nelly Korda, who won the tournament by five shots, took home the winner’s share of $1.35 million.

This was her third major title and second Chevron Championship victory. For perspective:In the inaugural Chevron event (then known as the Colgate-Dinah Shore Winner’s Circle), winner Jane Blalock earned just $20,050 from a $110,000 purse.

When the event became a major in 1983, Amy Alcott won $55,000 from a $400,000 total purse.

Even in 2026, the Chevron Championship’s $9 million purse trails the U.S. Women’s Open and KPMG Women’s PGA Championship (both $12 million in 2025), while sitting ahead of the AIG Women’s Open ($9.75 million) and Amundi Evian Championship ($8 million).(Note: Every player who missed the cut received $10,000.)
