Seeds 7 through 10 will compete in the first round, while seeds 1 through 6 will receive a bye to the second round. The winners of the games between the 9-10 and 7-8 seeds will play them in the second round.

The winning team will be the only Big Sky participant in March Madness and will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Eastern Washington, the top seed, will receive an automatic bid to the NIT even if they finish second in the Big Sky Tournament.

The Big Sky Tournament will be held from Saturday, March 8 to Wednesday, March 12 from the Idaho Central Arena in Boise, Idaho.

Betting Pick to Win The Big Sky Conference Tournament

This is a tough one. Northern Colorado split with Montana and Portland State, if chalk holds up on that side of the bracket. Idaho State split with the two Montana schools, but did lose both times to Northern Colorado, though one was by a point in overtime. Montana State lost twice to Montana and Northern Colorado, but one of the NoCo games was a one-point loss.

Ultimately, I’ll pick the No. 2 seed Montana. The Grizzlies got revenge against Northern Colorado with a nice road win and also have beaten Montana State twice, plus a blowout win over Portland State. I think they’re the most consistent team in the field.
