BBL 2022-23 edition has comes to a fine finshing after a thrilling finale between defending champions Perth Scorchers and surprise finalists Brisbane Heat.
In the BBL|12 Season featured eight teams from cities across Australia, competing in a total of 59 matches that saw, Perth Scorchers lifted their second successive BBL title, fifth overall after defeating the Brisbane Heat in a last-over thriller.
While the reigning champions were dominant throughout the group stages, winning 11 of their 14 league matches and finishing as the table toppers, Brisbane Heat sneaked into the knockout stages after finishing in fifth place.

The BBL|12 title also made Perth Scorchers the most successful team in the Big Bash League as BBL 2022-23 was their fifth title; eclipsing Sydney Sixers' four titles.
Perth Scorchers also defended their title as they won the last edition as well.
Perth also became the first team to defend their title twice as Scorchers won the BBL in 2013-14 and 2014-15.
