MLB Baseball Hall of Fame Inductees History, Full List of MLB Hall of Fame winners Since 1936..

WELCOME TO THE HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES LIST.

There is a new member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2023. The Baseball Writers Association of America has voted Scott Rolen into Cooperstown, it was announced Tuesday.

Fred McGriff, who was voted into Cooperstown unanimously by the 16-person Contemporary Era Committee in December, is the other member of this year's two-person 2023 Hall of Fame class.

Since its establishment in 1936, 341 former players, managers, executives, pioneers, and umpires have been elected to Cooperstown. In 2022, Bud Fowler, Gil Hodges, Jim Kaat, Minnie Miñoso, Tony Oliva, Buck O'Neil, and David Ortiz found themselves enshrined forever in baseball history.

Rolen is the 18th third baseman in the Hall of Fame. Thus far, he and Chipper Jones are the only full-time third basemen to begin their careers after 1982 to be voted into Cooperstown.

The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum was dedicated on June 12, 1939, in Cooperstown, NY. The original class boasted 25 inductees, among which were the first five inductees into the Hall: Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth, Walter Johnson, Honus Wagner, and Christy Mathewson.
The Hall was founded by Cooperstown businessman and hotel owner Stephen C. Clark. Clark founded the Hall in an effort to drum up business for his hotel from the waves of visiting tourists.

  • The figures immortalized here inspired generations. Pioneers and builders of dynasties. They left their mark, brought fans together, and made dreams come true. And they all capped their careers with the greatest play of all. They made it to Cooperstown.
