Alouettes beats Tiger-Cats to reach East Division final

CFL Playoffs 2022: Harris Star, Montreal Alouettes defeated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in Div. Semi-finals, advance to East final.




The Montreal Alouettes have notched to the First Divisional finals in Eight-Years.

The Montreal Alouettes defeated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 28-17 on Sunday, punching their ticket to the Eastern Final next week in Toronto against the Argonauts. For the first time the Alouettes have been in the Eastern Final since 2014.


  • With the loss, Hamilton will miss the Div. East final for the first time since 2017.



Trevor Harris completed 243 yards worth of passes while also making one interception. Dominique Davis and Walter Fletcher both scored touchdowns on the ground.

Dane Evans completed one interception out of 123 passing yards. Matthew Shiltz, a former Alouettes pivot, entered the game and finished with 127 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.



On the opening kickoff return, Chandler Wortly gained 49 yards, giving the Alouettes a strong head start. After four plays, Harris connected with Jake Weineke for a 13-yard touchdown pass, giving Montreal a 7-0 lead right away.

On the subsequent drive, the Ticats made an effort to respond but were content with Seth Small's 47-yard field goal.
