Netherlands defeated UAE by three wickets in the second game of the opening round of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
UAE chose to bat against the Netherlands after winning the toss.
With the bat, the UAE scored 111 runs, with Mohammad Wasim scoring 41 runs as the top batsman. The Netherlands' Bess de Lied claimed three wickets.
After losing the first wicket for 14 runs in the reply, Netherlands' innings did not get off to a good start, as the subsequent batters kept being out at regular intervals.
When UAE captain Rizwan failed to catch Tim Pringle on 76, it cost the Netherlands dearly since they were able to reach the 112-run goal with 7 wickets remaining.
Junaid Siddiqui of the UAE bagged three wickets.
