Serbia win women's volleyball world championships for 2nd time in a row

Serbia beat Brazil to wins back-to-back 2022 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship titles.




Women's Volleyball - Boskovic scores 24, As Serbia successfully defend their title, first won in 2018, continuing their unbeaten record of the tournament by triumphing at the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship.




At the 19th edition of the tournament, Serbia Empowered Brazilian side 3-0 (26-24, 25-22, 25-17) to clinched a second straight title at the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, on Saturday, Oct.15.


Earlier on day, Defending Volleyball Nations League champions and European Winners Italy dominated Olympic champions United States in a straight-set (25-20, 25-25, 27-25) victory and wins the bronze Medal, their third Women's World Championship medal –

Tijana Boskovic, Serbia's captain and renowned point scorer, was a towering figure on attack, delivering 24 points to her team's tally.

However, Serbia's great defensive effort, led by middle blocker Jovana Stevanovic, tilted the match in their favour. Stevanovic scored 11 points, four of which came from blocks. Throughout the game, she had a total of 15 blocks.

- Serbi win the women's volleyball world championships for the 2nd time in a row. They are the first nation to win 3-0 in the final since Cuba🇨🇺 in 1998.

Serbian side just becomes the sixth nation to win back-to-back editions of the World Championship, joined the former USSR, Japan, China, Cuba and Russia.
