WNBA Finals 2022: Connecticut Sun Hopes Alive from elimination, force Game 4 dominant win over Las Vegas Aces.

  • The Sun Alyssa Thomas shines in the Game 3 on thursday in the 2022 WNBA Finals, as the No. 3-seeded Connecticut Sun dominated once again with a 105-76 win over the No. 1 Las Vegas Aces to stave off elimination.

The NBA Finals is a best-of-five series, and Game 4 is in Connecticut and, if necessary, Game 5 in Las Vegas.

Alyssa Thomas (16 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists) recorded the first triple-double in WNBA Finals history and 3rd in WNBA Playoffs history and Connecticut finally found a way to cool off red-hot Las Vegas guard Chelsea Gray as the Sun won 105-76 at home Thursday night to force a Game 4.

Ahead of Game 3, the 2022 All-WNBA teams (1st & 2nd) were announced.

Connecticut put together a 25-4 run to end the first quarter after Vegas got out to a 9-2 lead, increasing their lead up to 23 points in the first half.

The Sun survived an Aces run that reduced the advantage to nine just before the half, then tallied three quick baskets to start the fourth quarter and secure the victory.

With less than five minutes remaining, Hammon removed her starters with the Sun securely in control. Sunday's Game 4 will begin at 4 PM ET.

The Aces still hold a 2-1 series advantage. Both teams are competing for their first WNBA championship.
