India beat England to wins the inaugural ICC Women's U19 T20 World Cup title 2023 in South Africa.
An inspired India won the first Women's Under-19 World Cup by thrashing England in a one-sided final in South Africa.

India won by seven wickets
England struggled on the big stage and were bowled out for just 68 against top-notch bowling and outstanding fielding.
Liberty-Heap was out for a duck in the first over, and in the fourth over, captain and important batter Grace Scrivens became the second of two wickets.
India kept picking up wickets regularly after reaching 16-3, including a diving, one-handed catch by Archana-Devi and a direct hit run-out by Soumya-Tiwari.
Despite making an impressive run to the final, India's team, which included two full internationals, including captain Shafali-Verma, outclassed England.
The superstar opener was caught for 15 in third over of the chase, India slipping to 20-2, but her side still cruised to victory with seven wickets and six overs to spare.
India's players ran onto the field to celebrate the team's first victory in a women's World Cup as soon as the winning runs were scored.
India needed England to win the chase, but they dropped two catches in the first five overs. Even Tiwari's decisive runs—he finished the game with 24 runs—came off a misfield.
Even though England's performance was disappointing, the tournament's overall outcome and the fact that it was the first of its kind in women's sports inspire real excitement for the future of the sport.
