  • NRL Finals: Penrith defeats South Sydney 32-12 to qualify for its third straight NRL grand final, with the defending premiers to face Parramatta in the season decider in Sydney.

The second half saw the reigning champions dominate thanks to standout performances from Viliame Kikau and Dylan Edwards. Rabbitohs winger Taane Milne was sent to the sidelines for a high tackle on Spencer Leniu.

The Panthers have qualified for their first-ever Grand Final against their bitter rivals Parramatta, and they now have the chance to become the first team to win back-to-back championships since the Roosters in 2018–19.

A Lachlan Ilias grubber gave the Rabbitohs an early lead and forced a line dropout, but after Latrell Mitchell's long ball was called forward, a sweeping right side raid was unsuccessful.
