As it stands, Novak Djokovic has spent the most weeks as world No. 1, with a record total of 400 weeks, and it’s hard to see anyone toppling that record any time soon.

Full List of Year-End ATP Number One Singles Players
At the end of the year, one player is crowned the season-ending world number one.
The first to land that accolade was Ilie Năstase, and since then, an additional sixteen players have joined the year-end number-one club, making it a select bunch of players.
The most recent was teenager Carlos Alcaraz, who finished the 2022 season at the top of the tree, thanks partly to his maiden Grand Slam title at the US Open.
The young Spaniard has a long way to go to catch Novak Djokovic, who has finished year-end number one on seven separate occasions, while Pete Sampras holds the record for consecutive seasons, leading the way from 1993 to 1998.
