"Sunday Night Football" has been serving as the perfect nightcap to a full day of NFL action since 1987.

The 2026 NFL season schedule was announced Wednesday with a full slate of Sunday Night Football games, which will be broadcast on NBC.

First up, when it comes to games kicking off on Sunday night, it will be an NFC East matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants at MetLife Stadium in Week 1. The Cowboys will be a popular staple in this window, as they are slated to appear on Sunday night three times, tying them with the Kansas City Chiefs for the most in the NFL.

NBC took the Sunday Night Football broadcasting baton from ESPN in 2006. Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth are entering their second season together in the booth, while Melissa Stark remains on sideline duty for the second year in row.

A notable international SNF game features the Minnesota Vikings vs. San Francisco 49ers in Mexico City on Nov. 22. The full schedule will be finalized during the NFL's official release on May 14, 2026.
