Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the schedule of HBL Pakistan Super League 2021 edition.
LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the schedule of HBL Pakistan Super League 2021. The opening match will be played on February 20 and the final on March 22.
The inaugural match of the 2021 Pakistan Super league will be played on February 20, where defending champions PSL5 Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators will take on each other.
The match between the two teams will be played at the National Stadium in Karachi. The next day, two matches will be played in the event.
In the first match, the finalist team of the fifth edition PSL5, Lahore Qalandars, and PSL 2017 winners team, Peshawar Zalmi, while in the second match, the teams of two-time champions Islamabad United and Multan Sultans will be seen in action.
Twenty-three-day tournament 2021 PSL 6 final will be played on March Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
For the first time since 2017, the final of the event will be played in Lahore.
Due to COVID-19, the health and safety of all stakeholders in the global epidemic, The event consists of 34 matches will be played in Karachi and Lahore.
The first phase of the event will be played at the National Stadium Karachi and the second phase at the PCB Headquarters Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
Equal matches will be played in both the cities. Day and night matches have also been distributed among all the teams on the basis of equality.
Any decision regarding the arrival of spectators will be taken a few days before the event, and the government's recommendations in this regard will be taken into account.
The sporting period of HBL Pakistan Super League 2021 will start from February 15.
For foreign players participating in the league, the result of a test for corona virus must be negative before arriving in Karachi.
Upon their arrival in Pakistan, they will undergo two more tests, after which they will be allowed to start training.
The cricketer or sports staff whose test positive will be sent to isolation for five days.
During this time, two more tests for the Corona Virus will be performed, the first on the first day of isolation and the second on the fourth day of isolation.
