NFL player opt outs: A recent list of names who won't play in 2020
NFL training camps are kicking off, but there are some players who won’t be there, and they won’t be suiting up in 2020, either.
NFL players can opt out of the 2020 season if they’re worried about their health due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Those deemed to be high risk earn $350,000 for the missed year, and those who aren’t get $150,000.
All of the names who have opted out and keep a running list of them as more pop up ahead of the season. Here they are:
