The 2019 ESPY Awards, considered by many as the "Oscars of the sports world," were handed to their winners on Wednesday at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles, California, U.S.

Giannis Antetokounmpo of the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks received the Best Male Athlete and the Best NBA Player Awards. While the Best Female Athlete goes to Alex Morgan from USWNT due to their outstanding performance in FIFA Women's World Cup and the  Best Team award taken by the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team, by becoming the record fourth-time champions of FIFA Women's World Cup.
