Men's Road Race -  Route 

 The men’s race will start in the town of Kufstein, with seven laps of 24km of the ‘Olympic Circuit’ before heading northwards towards the Hungerburg settlement where they’ll hit a climb featuring 25 per cent sections, then towards the finish in the centre of Innsbruck.


Women's Road Race   -  Route 

 The elite women’s race also starts in Kufstein, but opens with a 90km run towards the Olympic Circuit in Innsbruck which they will cover three times for a race distance of 156.2km.


Individual Time Trial  -   Route

 The men’s individual time trial is on a 52.5km course beginning in Rattenberg and covering a 4.4km climb that reaches a maximum pitch of 14 per cent before a westward route towards the finish line in Innsbruck.

 All the other time trials will start closer to Innsbruck - in Hall-Wattens with the elite women, male juniors and U23s covering 28.5km, with the junior women riding a course of 20.2km.



Team Time Trial   -  Route 

 There's more heavy climbing in the team time trials, with the men’s and the women’s races from Otztal to Innsbruck, with the men covering 62.1km and women covering 53.8km.



2017 Road Cycling World Championships Results.



 Peter Sagan (Slovakia) and Chantal Blaak (Netherlands) became the UCI World Champions of 2017 in Norway - Sagan winning his third in a row, Blaak winning her maiden title. The time trial titles went to a Dutch pair - Tom Dumoulin and Annemiek van Vleuten - while Team Sunweb took both team time trial titles.

 The Next 92nd edition, 2019 UCI Road World Championships are scheduled to be held in 2019 in  Harrogate, Yorkshire, United Kingdom.
