The 2026 PGA Tour is the 112th season of the PGA Tour and the 60th since separating from the PGA of America. The season began in Hawaii with Sony Open from January 15-18, 2026 and Will end with the Tour Championship on 30th August 2026, East Lake Golf Club, Atlanta, Georgia.
The 2026 PGA Tour season features 35 official FedExCup Regular Season events and eight Signature Events contested at historic venues including Augusta National, Pebble Beach, Riviera, Torrey Pines and the return of Trump National Doral’s Blue Monster for the first time since 2016. The season begins in January with the Sony Open in Hawaii and builds toward the FedExCup Playoffs in August.
Signature Events will include the top 50 players from the previous FedExCup standings, plus in-season qualifiers via the Aon Next 10 and Aon Swing 5.
Player-hosted Signature Events (Genesis Invitational, Arnold Palmer Invitational, and the Memorial Tournament) will feature a 36-hole cut.
The PGA Tour four majors tournaments remain central pillars: the Masters (Augusta National), PGA Championship (Aronimink Golf Club), U.S. Open (Shinnecock Hills), and The Open Championship (Royal Birkdale). Broadcast coverage is split primarily between CBS and NBC.
Major competitive changes include reducing full exempt status from the top 125 to the **top 100** in FedExCup standings, with field-size adjustments aimed at increasing competition and improving pace of play. The Korn Ferry Tour, DP World Tour and Q-School pathways remain key to player movement.
The FedExCup Playoffs structure remains:
• Top 70 advance to the FedEx St. Jude Championship
• Top 50 move on to the BMW Championship
• Top 30 qualify for the TOUR Championship in Atlanta
The TOUR Championship continues under the 72-hole stroke-play, even-par format to determine the FedExCup champion outright.
Schedule adjustments include venue returns (Riviera, Quail Hollow), calendar shifts for several events, the addition of the Miami Championship to the Regular Season, and the Mexico Open moving to the FedExCup Fall.
The season concludes with the **Presidents Cup at Medinah Country Club**, extending elite competition beyond the FedExCup finale.
