The  Irish Open is a professional golf tournament on the European Tour. Currently, it is known as the Dubai Duty-Free Irish Open due to Sponsorship reason.


The Irish Open was first played in 1927 through the WWII 1939-45, & later on until 1950 & again a season in 1953, the event was not played again until 1975. In 1975 they turned into the supporter of the Irish Open which ended up known as Carroll's Irish Open. Murphy's & Nissan also sponsored the tournament 1994-2006.


Since 2015 Dubai Duty-Free Irish Open hosted by Rock Mcllory & their Rory Foundation, & now they have extended their Sponsorship till 2022.

Colin Montgomerie, Bernhard Langer, Nick Faldo & Seve Ballesteros has won the most time title winners of Irish Open Golf tournament with 3 times each.

Who on the 2021 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open...?



  Lucas Herbert produced a battling final-round display to hold off the chasing pack and complete a wire-to-wire victory at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open.


Lucas Herbert secured his invite to The Open and registered his second European Tour title with a three-shot victory at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open; Shane Lowry finishes tied-23rd with Rory McIlroy struggling to a share of 59th


Herbert's victory sees him become just the third Australian winner of the European Tour's Dubai Duty-Free Irish Open 2021, the event was held at at Mount Juliet Estate, Kilkenny Golf Course, of Ireland.
 L.Herbert  won the 2021 Irish Open tournament with  €484,990 winner's share of the total prize fund €3,000,000 purse.

Irish Open Golf Future Venues, Dates.



The 2014 Ryder Cup Captain Paul McGinley as well as Major winners Darren Clarke, Padraig Harrington and Graeme McDowell – will host the Irish Open 2019 venue with McIlroy next year.

The Lahinch Golf course (Clare county Club) will host the next year 2019 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Golf tournament – which will take place in the first week from  4th - 7th July 2019 with the minimum prize fund is $7 million.


It's Undecided, but it is most likely possible that Darren Clarke would love to remain on a links course if predictions come true and he gets his turn in Irish open 2020 Golf tournament.

While Pádraig Harrington, Graeme McDowell, and Rory McIlroy will also host between 2020 Irish Open and Irish Open 2023, Clarke admitted yesterday he's the likely host in two years’ time.
