The London Knights are the most recent Memorial Cup champions, having defeated the Medicine Hat Tigers 4–1 on June 1, 2025, to claim their third title in franchise history. The 2026 Memorial Cup is scheduled to be hosted by the Kelowna Rockets at Prospera Place.

  • The Memorial Cup has a rich history dating back to 1919, originally donated to honour Canadian soldiers who died in World War I. 

  • Most Titles (Franchise): The Toronto Marlboros hold the record with 7 championships (1929, 1955, 1956, 1964, 1967, 1973, 1975).

  • WHL Records: The Kamloops Blazers franchise has 5 titles (1977, 1978, 1992, 1994, 1995).

  • Modern Era Standouts: Since the tournament adopted the round-robin format in 1972, the Cornwall Royals, Kamloops Blazers, Windsor Spitfires, and London Knights are the only teams to have won three times.



Who Won the 2025 Memorial Cup.?


The London Knights (OHL) won the 2025 Memorial Cup, defeating the Medicine Hat Tigers (WHL) 4–1 in the championship final on June 1, 2025. 

Hosted in Rimouski, Quebec, this victory marked the Knights' third Memorial Cup title in franchise history (previously winning in 2005 and 2016).
