Tom Walker Joins Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony Lineup
BRIT Award-winning singer-songwriter Tom Walker has been announced as the latest star to perform at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony.The Scottish artist will take to the stage at The Hydro on Thursday 23 July 2026, performing in front of a home crowd as part of the spectacular finale.

Born in Kilsyth, North Lanarkshire, Tom Walker returns home to join fellow Scottish headliner KT Tunstall and a host of other Scottish artists already announced, including:

The Opening Ceremony will kick off 10 days of world-class sport with a creative showcase full of music, humour, and Scottish surprises, telling the story of Glasgow and Scotland through a “Clyde-built journey”.Tom Walker’s ReactionSpeaking about the performance, Tom Walker said:“I’m absolutely honoured to be part of the Opening Ceremony for the Commonwealth Games.

The ceremony will feature global superstars, emerging Scottish talent, and a cast of over 600 volunteers from Glasgow, Scotland, and beyond.The Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony takes place on 23 July 2026 at The Hydro.
