Lewis Hamilton Wins First Ferrari Race at Barcelona Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton secured his first victory as a Ferrari driver by winning the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix. The seven-time world champion took control of the race after Mercedes made their second pit stops and later benefited from a Virtual Safety Car (VSC) with just three laps remaining, allowing him to stay on track and secure the win.

The victory follows two consecutive second-place finishes and marks the 106th win of Hamilton's Formula 1 career. Hamilton described the moment as especially meaningful, having dreamed for years of winning a race in Ferrari colors.

The podium featured an all-British top three, with George Russell finishing second and reigning world champion Lando Norris taking third. It was the first all-British Formula 1 podium since 1968.

A key moment in the race came when championship leader Kimi Antonelli retired with a mechanical problem while running second. His retirement triggered the VSC that helped Hamilton maintain his lead until the finish.

The result allowed Hamilton and Russell to reduce the gap to Antonelli in the World Drivers' Championship standings. Max Verstappen finished fourth, followed by Oscar Piastri, Isack Hadjar, Pierre Gasly, Franco Colapinto, Liam Lawson, and Arvid Lindblad to complete the top ten.
