2026 Manitoba Marathon Route Map

The course is a flat, fast, scenic loop that is a certified Boston Marathon qualifier. Runners travel through historic neighborhoods such as Wolseley and River Heights, cross the Abinojii Mikanah Bridge, and pass local landmarks like the Bridge Drive-In (BDI). A major course update in recent years introduced the exciting stadium finish at Princess Auto Stadium.

Half Marathon: Diverges midway but rejoins for the stadium finish

2026 Manitoba Marathon Prize Money

Prize money is focused primarily on the Half Marathon, which serves as the Manitoba Half Marathon Championships.

Half Marathon Prize Money (Male, Female, and Para categories): 

1st Place: $2,500 (standard) – reduced to $1,250 or $625 depending on finishing time  

2nd Place: $1,250 (standard) – reduced to $625 or $312.50  

3rd Place: $750 (standard) – reduced to $375 or $187.50  

4th Place: $500 (standard) – reduced to $250 or $125


Time standards apply for prize reductions. The Full Marathon offers smaller cash prizes, while additional awards include the MRA National Excellence Award ($1,250) for top Manitoba runners and age-group awards.
