PWHL Walter Cup Playoffs Format


Qualifying for the Playoffs

The top four teams from the regular season advance to the Walter Cup Playoffs. Teams earn points using the league’s 3-2-1-0 system: 


3 points for a regulation win  

2 points for an overtime or shootout win  

1 point for an overtime or shootout loss  

0 points for a regulation loss


These four teams are seeded 1 through 4 based on total points, with the highest point total earning the No. 1 seed.

The PWHL Walter Cup Playoffs feature the top 4 teams from the regular season.

Qualifying

Two rounds: Semifinals and Finals
