The Wild are no strangers to recent playoff appearances. However, they do have a streak of playoff struggles, losing their last seven first round series since 2016, The Wild have not advanced past the first round of the playoffs since 2015.
Despite finishing the regular season with the third-most points in the Western Conference, the Wild will be the road team against their Central Division foes, who finished with the second-most points in the conference.
