Scotland edged past Italy 1-0 on Saturday to become the third team to qualify from the second leg of the FIH Women’s World Cup Qualifiers in Hyderabad. India and England are the other two teams through to the World Cup, in their last qualifier match, England prevailed in the final against India 2-0 to win the FIH Hockey World Cup Qualifiers at Hyderabad's Gachibowli's Stadium





The World Cup, scheduled to be held in Belgium and the Netherlands from August 15 to 30, will feature 16 teams.

The two host countries, along with five continental champions and the winners of the FIH Pro League in 2023-24 and 2024-25 secured automatic qualifications.

For the remaining seven teams, FIH conducted two sets of qualifiers, with the top three from each advancing. The last team will be the higher-ranked fourth-placed team from the two qualifiers.

In the first World Cup Qualifier in Chile, the host nation, Australia and Ireland were the top three teams and secured qualification. In the Hyderabad leg, India, England and Scotland made it to the global showpiece. Japan advanced as the better-ranked fourth-placed team to complete the 16-team lineup.
