The BMO Vancouver Marathon 2026 is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2026. The pre-race Health, Sports & Lifestyle Expo takes place on Friday, May 1 (10am–7pm) and Saturday, May 2 (9am–5pm) at the Vancouver Convention Centre East.


What Time Does BMO Vancouver Marathon Start?


Start times:  Half Marathon: 7:00 AM (Queen Elizabeth Park).  

Marathon: 8:30 AM (Queen Elizabeth Park).  

8KM: 9:30 AM (Stanley Park on Lagoon Drive).

Arrive at least 45 minutes early for corral entry and warm-up.

Corrals are assigned by estimated finish time (color-coded on your bib). Exact times are subject to final confirmation closer to race day via the official site.

2026 BMO Vancouver Marathon Route


The award-winning courses are scenic and fast, with significant shoreline and nature views: 

Marathon (42.2K): Point-to-point from Queen Elizabeth Park south through neighborhoods, beaches, Stanley Park Seawall, and downtown to the finish. Features mountains, cherry blossoms (seasonal), and 70% waterfront.  

Half Marathon: Starts with an epic downhill from Queen Elizabeth Park, scenic route to downtown finish.  

8KM: Loops within Stanley Park.

Vancouver Marathon Prize Money

The event offers an elite athlete program with cash prizes (based on gun time), focusing on overall, age-group, Canadian, and masters categories, plus record bonuses.
