Brodie Kostecki storms to third straight Bathurst 1000 pole in Ford-dominated shootout
BATHURST, Australia — Brodie Kostecki once again proved untouchable at Mount Panorama, storming to his third consecutive Bathurst 1000 pole in a blistering Boost Mobile Top Ten Shootout on Saturday.
Kostecki clocked a 2:04.0413, narrowly missing his own Gen3 lap record but securing his fourth pole of the 2025 Supercars season. His effort led a historic all-Ford top four — the first since 1990 — with Cam Waters, Chaz Mostert, and Ryan Wood completing the blue oval sweep.
“It’s just amazing — that lap was something special,” Kostecki said after joining legends Peter Brock and Allan Moffat as the only drivers to claim three consecutive Great Race poles. “We’re starting from the best spot possible, and I can’t wait to share the car with Toddy [Hazelwood] tomorrow.”
Under clear Bathurst skies, Waters briefly set the pace with a 2:04.2173, before Mostert and Wood came close but couldn’t topple Kostecki’s flying lap. The result cements the Erebus star’s reputation as Mount Panorama’s modern master — and sets the stage for a thrilling 2025 Great Race.
