The Washington Mystics begin their 2026 WNBA campaign on the road, facing the new expansion Toronto Tempo in the league's opening weekend.Season Opener  Friday, May 8 | @ Toronto Tempo | 7:30 p.m. ET

Location: Scotiabank Arena (or designated venue), Toronto

Notes: The Mystics open the WNBA's 30th season against one of the two new expansion franchises (Toronto Tempo). This matchup kicks off the Mystics' early road-heavy slate.

Early Season Notes  First home game: Sunday, May 10 vs New York Liberty at 3:00 p.m. ET (CareFirst Arena home opener).  

The Mystics play their first four games away (May 8 @ Toronto, May 10 home vs NYL, then three more road games May 15–18).  

They host both expansion teams: Portland Fire (June 28) and Toronto Tempo (June 12 – Commissioner's Cup).  

Strong early Eastern Conference matchups, including multiple games vs New York Liberty, Indiana Fever, and Connecticut Sun.
