2025 AFL Pre-Season Fixtures, Times, Dates, Bulldogs kick-off in Opener

AFL pre-season 2025 fixture revealed, full schedule, dates, times by teams, Cats kick-off in community series opener.





The AFL has released the 2025 AAMI Community Series fixture, with fans set to get a pre-season glimpse of their club’s new recruits ahead of the season proper.

Played between February 25 and March 2, all 18 clubs will play one Community Series match in addition to practice match simulation fixtures.

Geelong fans could get their first taste of Bailey Smith in the hoops when the Cats host Essendon on Tuesday, February 25.

In the Community Series matches, teams will play four 20-minute quarters plus time-on as per the regular season. They will field a squad of 30 players including eight on the bench and four emergencies.

All Community Series games will be broadcast exclusively live on Fox Footy and Kayo.

Every club’s first official practice match for the 2025 pre-season has been revealed, with Collingwood, Brisbane and Gold Coast headlining an eye-catching, three-way game.

Between February 15-22, 17 of the 18 AFL sides will hit the park against a league rival, while Fremantle will take part in the highly-anticipated Indigenous All Stars match in Perth.

Foxfooty.com.au can reveal that it will be the Western Bulldogs and Essendon who hit the park before anyone else, with their Saturday afternoon clash in Footscray locked in west of Melbourne.

Each clash across the eight-day period will have their own different match lengths, with varying breaks in between each period or quarter.
