Here's everything you need to know for the 2024 NCAA DIII football championship that features 40 teams battling it out in a single-elimination bracket.

The 40-team championship bracket was revealed on Sunday, Nov. 17. Twenty-eight teams earned automatic qualification, while the remaining teams were selected at large by the DIII Football Committee. The tournament begins with the first round on Saturday, Nov. 23.

Cortland won last year's championship, capturing the first football national title in program history. Now, the Red Dragons — touting a perfect record — are vying to become the first school to win back-to-back D3 championships since Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2013 and 2014.
