Tour Championship Purse: Prize Money Payout, Winner Share for Top 30

2024 Tour Championship Bonus Prize money: Purse, Payout, winner share for every golfer in FedEx Cup at East Lake

It pays to play well on the PGA Tour. Just ask last year winner, Scottie Scheffler.

The 28-year-old won the 2024 Tour Championship on Sunday, shooting 4-under 67 in the final round to finish at 30 under for the week, four shots in front of Collin Morikawa. The win was his seventh on the PGA Tour in 2024, the first player with seven victories in a season since Tiger Woods in 2007.

With the win, Scheffler earned $25 million in bonus money, adding to the almost $30 million he earned in official money through the regular season. In fact, everyone who played this week in the Tour Championship had a solid payday.

Officially, the money on the line this week in Atlanta is not tournament prize money, but rather the payout for the $100 million FedEx Cup bonus pool that players are receiving for their finishes in the season-long points race.

Every player who finished inside the top 150 of the FedEx Cup standings will receive some portion of this bonus, but nearly $60 million of it is still up for grabs in Atlanta..

For this Year, $25 million will be awarded to the FedEx Cup winner with every player inside the top 10 cashing seven figures. All 30 players will enjoy the luxury of claiming at least $500,000, even if their play results in a last-place finish.

The TOUR Championship format has players using a strokes-based system.

Scottie Scheffler is the only man to surpass $25 million in earnings this season, and he is on the cusp of a $40 million year if he is to win his first FedEx Cup crown. Jon Rahm, Viktor Hovland, Rory Mcilroy, Wyndham Clark, Max Homa and Patrick Cantlay all enter East Lake with at least $10 million already under their belts.

How Much Does Winner of FedEx Cup/TOUR Championship Earn?

The winner share of the TOUR Championship and FedEx Cup Champion will earn $25 million from a total/overall Prize Bonus Pool of $100 million. While the second-place finisher taking home $12.5 million, third-place got the cashed $7.5 million.
