2026 New York Jets Schedule: Dates, Start-Times, TV Channels

New York Jets TV schedule 2026: Dates, Game time, Channels, How to watch.

The New York Jets are trying something unfamiliar this offseason: optimism that actually feels earned.

Every year around schedule release season, there’s usually a wave of hope surrounding the franchise. But this time, the excitement doesn’t feel completely forced. The Jets made aggressive moves, stacked draft capital, and finally gave fans a reason to believe the direction might actually be changing.

It all started with the return of Geno Smith.

More than a decade after the Jets drafted him in 2013, Smith is back in New York after rebuilding his career elsewhere. The reunion instantly changed the tone around the franchise. Add in the return of Demario Davis, a contract extension for Breece Hall, and a draft class loaded with first-round talent, and suddenly the Jets look far more serious than they did a year ago.

And honestly, they had to.

The 2025 season was painful to watch. The offense stalled constantly, the energy around the team disappeared quickly, and another playoff miss extended the NFL’s longest postseason drought. At some point, “rebuilding” stops sounding patient and starts sounding permanent.

That’s why 2026 feels important. Not necessarily because the Jets need to become contenders overnight, but because they finally need to look functional again.
