Cavinder Twins make WWE TV debut, practice 'signature move

Haley and Hanna Cavinder Twins make WWE TV debut, practicing 'signature move.

From the Hoops grounds, another set of twins is about to shock the wrestling community.

Haley and Hanna Cavinder, former stars of the women's basketball team at the University of Miami, made their WWE television debut on the company's development network NXT on Tuesday.

On Tuesday at the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando, the Cavinder Twins did indeed make an appearance in the ring, but they did not engage in combat. Instead, in honour of Thea Hail's victory in the NXT Women's Battle Royale, the pair carried Thea Hail on their shoulders.

"You may see your new fav tag team in the ring tonight," Haley Cavinder teased on Twitter ahead of their appearance.

It led many fans to wonder when the Cavinder Twins will suit up themselves after forging their final season of college basketball eligibility at Miami earlier this year to "start a new chapter in our lives."

Who are Haley and Hanna Cavinder?

The 22-year-old twins transferred from Fresno State to the University of Miami in April 2022 to play college basketball and were part of the Hurricanes' first-ever Elite Eight run in this year's NCAA tournament.

Haley was a starting guard and averaged 12.2 points, while Hanna averaged 3.8 points off the bench.

  • Haley and Hanna Cavinder boast more than 4.5 million followers on TikTok, plus millions more on Instagram and Twitter.

  • They parlayed their large social media following into more than $1.7 million in endorsement deals through NIL, according to Forbes.

"Thank you for an unforgettable season. The love and support we received from the university and the city was special. ... Hanna and I have decided to not take our fifth year and start a new chapter in our lives. The U will always be home and we are forever proud to be Hurricanes."

Are the Cavinder Twins signed with WWE?

Haley and Hanna Cavinder signed an NIL deal with the WWE in 2021 as part of its inaugural "Next In Line" class, which "provides a clear pathway from collegiate athletics to WWE," the wrestling company announced.

  • The WWE said athletes that complete their NIL program "may earn an exclusive opportunity to be offered a WWE contract."

In April, Haley Cavinder said they "love the WWE. Their fanbase, the sport, the fitness side of it that fits Hanna and I’s brand and aligns great with us."

Haley and Hanna Cavinder "WWE signature move"

Following their on-screen debut Tuesday, Haley and Hanna Cavinder told The Athletic that there's no timetable on them signing contracts with the WWE. But the Twins added more fuel to the fire while practicing their "WWE signature move" in a ring in their latest TikTok video Wednesday, while wearing branded WWE merchandise.
