The 2026 World Snooker Championship (officially the Halo World Snooker Championship) is set to captivate fans from Saturday, 18 April to Monday, 4 May 2026, marking the 50th consecutive year the iconic Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, England, hosts snooker's most prestigious event.

As the final ranking tournament of the 2025–26 season, it crowns the world champion in a grueling 17-day main draw.The tournament begins with qualifying rounds from 6 April to 15 April 2026 at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield, featuring 128 professional and invited amateur players vying for 16 spots in the main stage.

When is the 2026 World Snooker Championship?


The 2025 World Championship runs from April 18 to 4th May. All matches will be held at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield.
