2026 WSL Championship Tour – Schedule & FormatsTo celebrate 50 years of professional surfing, the 2026 Championship Tour features 12 events for both men and women, with the largest women's field in history. 

The season includes nine regular-season stops, two postseason events, and a reimagined Pipe Masters finale that crowns the World Champions in a high-stakes, winner-takes-all showdown.

"These updates honor surfing's rich history while pushing the sport forward in its 50th year," said WSL CEO Ryan Crosby. "Every heat now matters more, with real consequences from the start. Iconic venues, a bigger women's roster, and Pipeline as the ultimate decider create a Tour that excites athletes and fans alike."

2026 WSL Championship Tour – Quick Overview

• Men: 36 surfers → top 9 results count
• Women: expanded to 24 surfers for the first time
• Finale at Pipeline with 1.5× points (15,000 for the win)

• New/returning stops: Snapper Rocks, Cloudbreak (full CT event), Abu Dhabi wave pool (post-season)
