The 30th edition of Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Cup 2024 event was played in its traditional Venue in Ipoh, from May 4th to 11th. in Malaysia.

There are Six teams participated in 2024 tournament, incl. hosts Malaysia, Pakistan, Japan, Korea, South Africa and Egypt in the 10-day tournament..

The Malaysian national hockey team made history when they lifted the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup trophy at home ground for the first time after defeating South Korea 3-2 in a tense final at the Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Stadium, Ipoh.

The tournament will return after a one-year hiatus after it was postponed in 2023 due to the packed hockey calendar.

The Sultan Azlan Shah Cup was first played in 1983. It became an annual event in 2003.
