Awful Bowling, PAK Beat Hong Kong By 155 Runs, Qualify For Super 4S

Asia Cup 2022: Shadab devastating bowling, Hong Kong bowled out for 38 runs, Pakistan reach Super Four stage.




  • Pakistan Crushed Hong Kong brutally won by 155 runs in the elimination round of the T20 Asia Cup, becoming the final team to advance to the Super Four stage following the One-Sided match in UAE.



None of Hong Kong's batsmen were able to score in the double digits against the Pakistan fast bowlers as they attempted to attain Pakistan's 194-run target. The entire team was eliminated after just scoring 38 runs. The Pakistani team won by 155 runs as a result, and they advanced to the Super Four stage.



First Pakistan Innings.

Nazakat Khan, the captain of Hong Kong, won the toss for the game at Sharjah and urged Pakistan to bat first.

Captain Babar Azam was out for 9 runs on a total score of 13 as Pakistan struggled to an early lead over Hong Kong.

A partnership of 116 runs was eventually built between Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman after one wicket fell, but Fakhar was eventually dismissed after hitting 53 runs off of 41 balls.

Muhammad Rizwan and Khushdil Shah scored quickly in the final two overs of the game, bringing the total for the team up to 193 runs in 20 overs.



In the final over of the batting, Khushdil Shah smashed four sixes and scored 35 runs off 15 balls, leaving Rizwan undefeated on 78 runs off 57 balls. For Hong Kong, Ehsan Khan took two wickets.

None of the Hong Kong batters could reach double figure scores as they attempted to surpass Pakistan's 194 runs target. With 8 runs, captain Nizakat Khan was the main player. The 38 runs that Hong Kong was all out for ranks eighth among T20 International teams.


Shadab Khan scored four runs, Mohammad Nawaz three, and Naseem Shah two for Pakistan.
