Celtics Brogdon Win 2023 NBA Sixth Man of the Year, Winners

Boston's Malcolm Brogdon wins 2022-23 Kia Sixth Man of the Year, 6th Man award winners list since 1983.





Boston Celtics' Malcolm Brogdon has won the NBA's 2022-23 Sixth Man of the Year award, the league announced on Thursday.

This is not the first major award that Brogdon has won in the NBA. he also took home the league's Rookie of the Year award over Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid in 2016-17.



Brogdon averaged 14.9 points and 3.7 assists per game while shooting a remarkable 44.4% from 3-point range.

He helped the Celtics finish with the second-best record in the NBA.



Brogdon beat out fellow finalists Immanuel Quickley of New York and Bobby Portis of Milwaukee.

  • receiving 60 of 100 first-place votes and 408 points overall from a media panel.

  • Quickley was second at 326, getting 34 first-place votes.

  • Portis had six first-place votes and 97 points.



Last Year Winner --- Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro has been named the 2021-22 Kia NBA Sixth Man of the Year for his contributions in a reserve role. ...This is the first Sixth Man honor for Herro, who becomes the first player to win the annual award with the Heat.
