Playoff golf paid off this week for the top 30 golfers in the FedEx Cup standings.

 Patrick Cantlay has been on absolute fire in recent weeks. And he's the FedEx Cup champion because of it.

 Cantlay, won the Tour Championship on Sunday, shooting a one-under 69 to finish 21 under for the tournament, a solitary stroke ahead of Jon Rahm. Kevin Na (-16), Justin Thomas (-15), Xander Schauffele (-14) and Viktor Hovland (-14) rounded out the top five.

 The 2021 Tour Championship concluded Sunday with Patrick Cantlay finishing one shot ahead of Jon Rahm to win the FedEx Cup Playoffs and capture the $15 million grand prize.

 Add it all up, and FedEx is giving out $60 million in bonus funds to the best players in the world.

 Here's a breakdown of the prize money payouts for the top 30 golfers at the end of the Tour Championship. When Cantlay and Rahm were competing on the 72nd hole Sunday, there was a $10 million differential hanging on every shot they took.

2nd: $5 million - Jon Rahm

3rd: $4 million - Kevin Na

4th: $3 million - Justin Thomas

T-5: $2.5 million ($2.2 million each) - Viktor Hovland, Xander Schauffele

7th: $1.3 million - Bryson DeChambeau

8th: $1.1 million - Dustin Johnson

T-9: $950,000 ($890,000 each) - Abraham Ancer, Billy Horschel

T-11: $750,000 ($705,000 each) - Daniel Berger, Tony Finau, Jason Kokrak
