The 2026 Paris-Nice route was unveiled on December 17, with eight days of racing featuring 1,245km of racing and 16,460 metres of elevation gain.

The route will take the peloton from Achères to Nice and features 27 classified climbs as well as a 23.5km team time trial in the middle of the race. The race runs between March 8, 2026 and March 15, 2026.

 The organisers unveiled the course for the 84th Race to the Sun on Wednesday in Versailles, starting on Sunday, March 8th 2026 in Achères and finishing a week later in Nice. It’s a varied edition: chances for sprinters, wind-exposed days, a team time trial, punchy finales, and high-mountain stages.

The route offers a blend of flat, hilly, and time-trial stages designed to challenge all types of riders and to keep the overall classification open throughout the week-long event. Here is a detailed breakdown of the stages:

Stage 1 (March 8): Achères to Carrieres-sous-Poissy (171.2 km) – An initial flat stage promising a sprint finish or breakaway opportunities to set the tone for the race.

Stage 2 (March 9): Épône to Montargis (187 km) – Another flat route, where sprinters and early breakaways will aim for the stage win.

Stage 3 (March 10): Cosne-sur-Loire to Pouilly-sur-Loire (23.5 km, Team Time Trial) – A crucial team time trial in the Loire Valley, often decisive for the general classification.

Stage 4 (March 11): Bourges to Uchon (195 KM) – Features hilly terrain, a test for the climbers and all-round riders, potentially shaking up the standings.
