Muguruza Big hopes to partner with Nadal in 2021 Olympics

Garbine Muguruza has big expectation to play with Rafael Nadal in Tokyo Olympics 2021.



 Garbine Muguruza has high expectations for this year's Olympics in Tokyo and aims to play mixed doubles with her Spanish fellow countryman Rafael Nadal in search of her first Olympic medal. Muguruza will once again be one of the favorites to head to the Australian Open on 8 February.


 Garbine Muguruza reveals she's striving for Olympic fame, and she's expecting to partner up with Rafael Nadal at this year's mixed doubles tournament.

 Rafa Nadal, who won 20 Grand Slams and two Olympics, was supposed to compete as Muguruza's partner at the Rio 2016 Olympics, but had to pull out due to exhaustion. 


Muguruza, who won Wimbledon in 2017 and the French Open in 2016, says that she wants to convince the 34-year-old to be her doubles partner in Tokyo this summer.


 "Winning all four Grand Slams, an Olympic medal, and playing mixed doubles with Nadal at the Games," Muguruza told AS when asked about her aspirations for 2021. 

"The most special thing is sharing the successes."


 Muguruza played in one of the Rio de Janeiro Olympics, but lost to Puerto Rico's Monica Puig, who ended up winning gold medal in the third round in 2016 Olympics.


 The 27-year-old is set to play in Abu Dhabi from 5 to 13 January before going to Melbourne for the rescheduled Australian Open, Live streaming will take place on Eurosport and the Eurosport app from 8 to 21 February.
