IJF revealed 8 WJT schedule events for 2021 season

IJF revealed Preliminary World Judo Tour schedule for 2021 season.



International Judo Federation (IJF) has confirmed the initial schedule of events for the 2021 season, subject to the coronavirus pandemic.

IJF World Judo Tour 2021: Schedule Dates, Venues.

 

The IJF World Tour season is scheduled to start from 11 to 13 January, when Qatar's capital, Doha, is expected to organize the World Judo Masters event. 

Doha Judo Masters 2021 event will comprises of 402 athletes around the 70 countries. 


Judokas would able to obtain 1,000 points by winning their class at the Tel Aviv Grand Slam 2021 event from 18 to 20 February, with the tournament being promoted from the Grand Prix stage.  

Tel Aviv Grand Slam 2021 Judo event will comprises of  6 athletes from 4 nations.


The capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, will host a Grand Slam tournament from 5 to 7 March, with athletes scheduled to arrive to Tbilisi Grand Slam, Georgia, to participate from 26 to 28 March.    


Turkey is set to host the fourth Grand Slam game of the season between 1 and 3 April.

The Paris Grand Slam tournament is set to take place from 8 to 9 May.

The World Championships will serve as the final qualifying event for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The Tokyo 2020 Judo competition is set to take place from 24 to 31 July.


The IJF said that further events could be added to the seasonal schedule at a later date if the coronavirus situation changed.
